{"id":3029,"date":"2020-01-31T20:46:39","date_gmt":"2020-01-31T20:46:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecosforrosewood.temp513.kinsta.cloud\/?p=3029"},"modified":"2024-08-05T16:05:30","modified_gmt":"2024-08-05T16:05:30","slug":"ecos-celebrates-californias-historic-ingredient-transparency-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecos.com\/live-cleaner\/ecos-celebrates-californias-historic-ingredient-transparency-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Passing the \u2018California Cleaning Product Right to Know\u2019 Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Starting January 1st, 2020, millions of consumers and workers in California now have the information they need to protect their health.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><b>The Cleaning Product Right to Know Act<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> requires an online listing of all intentionally added ingredients in cleaning products sold in California by January 1, 2020, and on-package disclosure by January 1, 2021. In addition, the label must indicate the presence of allergens in the product.\u2060<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Illnesses such as asthma, eczema, and allergies are on the rise. That\u2019s why our products are made with many plant-powered ingredients, and it\u2019s why we\u2019re fighting for ingredient disclosure on all cleaning products. We believe that everyone has the right to know what chemicals they\u2019re bringing into their home, school, and workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many people don\u2019t realize that, unlike packaged food, no federal requirements exist for disclosing ingredients in cleaning products. That\u2019s why this law is so important &#8211; it sets the standard for cleaning product ingredient disclosure, not just in California but across the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are incredibly proud to have played an important role in the coalition that helped pass California\u2019s \u201cCleaning Product Right to Know\u201d Act in 2017, and we\u2019re hoping it will become a model for the rest of the county.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ECOS has been a pioneer in safer cleaning products and ingredient transparency.
